I'd have a bigger problem with neighborhood kids cutting through the backyard or thinking they can use our yard as an extension of theirs. Many cities/towns don't have the same protection for dog owners if your dog bites if there is only an invisible fence. On a side note, I knew 2 dogs that would pace up and down just out of the shock range but with in the warning range. When the battery wore down they would cross it... all the time. Or they would just go through it and be done with it, shake it off and continue on their way chasing whatever it was they were going after.

I too have read of the many health issues of dogs who are spayed and neutered early in life. Almost every important decision in life comes with risks as well as benefits. I can only speak from my own experiences. My Pomeranian whom I chose not to have neutered loved to mark everywhere and developed a tumor on his testicle. While he wasn't really aggressive, I have met other male dogs that were not neutered extremely aggressive.
